The Elm Hill Family Service Center (FSC) is the home of the Roxbury/North Dorchester APAC and Walnut Grove Head Start. The Center provides comprehensive programs for income-eligible residents of all ages and has served the Roxbury/North Dorchester community for over 30 years.

The Elm Hill FSC offers many ABCD services like Head Start. However, a lot of programs exist exclusively at Elm Hill. These include:

• After-School Enrichment Component, including a comprehensive tutorial program, theater, recreational and social activities
• Summer Literacy Enrichment Program working with the Read Boston Story-mobile that provides children access to literacy support and the opportunity to receive free, age-appropriate books to encourage the building of a home library
• Workshops on housing and legal issues dealing with tenant rights, housing regulations, court proceedings, housing discrimination, and real estate law
• An Elder Hot Lunch Program
• Linkage to the Boston Empowerment Zone
