Mattapan FSC

The Mattapan FSC provides family and neighborhood initiatives that encourage self-reliance, promote economic parity and encourage responsible neighborhood growth and development.

In addition to participating in numerous ABCD programs like Head Start and SummerWorks, Mattapan FSC services and programs also include:
  • Business and economic development such as workshops on small business management and "Credit Smart" classes
  • Community Partnerships for Children offering subsidized full-day child care for working families
  • KLUB/Pathways to Empowerment Program, an after-school program for at-risk girls
  • Homebuyer education and counseling program to first-time homebuyers, including financial support from the city of Boston
  • HomeWorks Workshop for Haitian community members focusing on immigration, credit and buying and maintaining a home
  • Senior services including social, health, and recreational programs, and literacy training
  • Adult education and literacy classes including GED, ESOL, job counseling, access to computer lab and student support services
