A Night to Remember

ABCD's 37th annual gala took place on October 27th, 2011 at the Seaport World Trade Center. This year's dinner was an amazing celebration of the positive made by ABCD in our communities, and of the contributions of community volunteers - and our supporters - who make it possible.  

We would especially like to thank our Platinum Sponsor Children's Hospital Boston! We are thankful for their unwavering commitment to serving our community and we are deeply grateful for their continued support. 

In addition to honoring 19 community heroes for their remarkable work this past year, we were delighted to induct three great Bostonians - one of ABCD's founding mothers, the late Melnea Cass; community leader Mel King, and Boston Globe sports columnist, Bob Ryan - into our Hall of Fame. Coach "Doc" Rivers, our keynote speaker, inspired us all to continue the work of providing help and hope to Boston's most disadvantages families. The night ended with the incredible Ben E. King playing his greatest hits!

We look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary next year. We hope you will join us for a spectacular celebration on November 2nd, 2012!
