Hoop Dreams is a charity basketball fundraising event which will benefit programs at Action for Boston Community Development.

On September 17 at the Revere Hotel, Boston, Action for Boston Community Development will honor 18 outstanding volunteers who provide extraordinary assistance that helps put Boston-area residents on pathways to better lives.
The annual event celebrates the voluntary efforts of individuals who work tirelessly to address and placate the plight of Boston’s underprivileged residents and communities through voluntary leadership and service.

The 2013 ABCD Awards Gala will be held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel on Friday, November 1, 2013.
Award -winning film director and producer, Spike Lee, will serve as our keynote speaker for this amazing event. Also taking the stage at the ABCD bash is American Idol star Angie Miller. The 19-year-old from Beverly, Mass. wowed judges and audience with her powerful vocals and original music as a finalist on season 12. Her “You Set Me Free” quickly became the breakout song of the season. And for seasoned R&B and Mo’Town buffs, there’s The Spinners to make your heart beat faster and your feet tap! “I’ll be Around” and “Could it be I’m Falling in Love” will put us all in the mood…
